  The primary responsibilities of a ColorMax Technician include printing digital customer files to large format color printing equipment. Additional duties will include color correction, image manipulation, basic layout changes, loading fonts and graphics and attention to detail in order to achieve the highest print quality. The right candidate must also enjoy working closely with customers to meet the job requirements. This person would also be responsible for assisting customers placing orders, accurately recording job instructions, preparing small quotes, answering customer calls and communicating with the customer to make suggestions or report problems.

  Essential Job Functions: Uses desktop publishing software on Windows and Macintosh platforms to prepare and manipulate files for optimum print capacity. Troubleshoots graphic design software in both MAC and PC environment; self check own work for completeness and accuracy. Produces quality work on time and to customer specifications within scheduled time frames. Maintains the work area and computers in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. Proofs files before printing for any errors (e.g. layout, type, size) Completes paperwork for the billing process. Maintains a courteous and “can-do” attitude with internal and external customers. Other Important Job Functions: Answers calls and place outgoing calls in a professional manner. Designs simple one or two color projects determining size, arrangement and layout; send proofs to the customer for approval. Maintains communication with Technology when upgrades and/or new versions of software are requested. Assists in training new employees in the print production process. Stocks and maintains inventory of supplies needed in the department. Other duties may be assigned.
